WENDELL PHILLIPS LOVELESS

1892–1987

From 1914 to around 1920, Loveless toured America with an entertainment


group, where he received a grounding in voice and piano. He served as a
Marine Corps officer in World War I, and was converted as a result of
reading the Bible at home. He directed the radio department (WMBI)
at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois (1926–47), and later pastored at
churches in Wheaton, Illinois; Boca Raton, Florida; and Honolulu, Hawaii,
continuing his radio ministry in the last two locations. His works include:
