 Echo phrases with steady beat
 Sing whole song with steady beat
 Review so-mi signs and echo 1st phrase with signs
 Place phrase on the staff in spaces
o Review “if so is in a space…then mi is in a space”
 Sing phrase with solfege and hand signs then with words
 Students listen while T. sings with beat and try to notice
something different with the rhythm
 Have class sing the whole song with steady beat and pay attention
to “silent” spots
 Teach and play game!

4. 2, 4, 6, 8 (NEW!)
 T. intros song and asks questions
 Students echo with beat
 Echo with rhythm tappers
 Sing whole song
 ID the rhyming words and use game to line up!
