Theory:
• Describe the site requirements for Nokia Flexi WCDMA BTS Integration
• Describe procedure of integration for Nokia Flexi WCDMA BTS
• Describe integration tests for Nokia Flexi WCDMA BTS
• Describe integration test calls for Nokia Flexi WCDMA BTS
Iub Testing
• Confirm that Iub interface is working correctly between BTS and RNC
• Work order
• Interface is taken to “Note in use” state
• Check that BTS has active Iub alarms
• Check that RIC can see active Iub alarms
• Interface is taken to “In use” state
• Check that all alarms are cancelled in BTS and BTS is in “Integrated” state
• Check with RIC that BTS is OK and alarms are not active
• Confirm that voice calls (AMR), packet calls (PS), SMS, emergency calls
(E911) and softer handover are working
• Call testing
• Location update in each sector (switch on handset)
• Confirm basic cell parameters in each sector
• Voice calls in each sector (3G to 2G, 2G to 3G, 3G to 3G)
• PS calls in each sector
• SMS in each sector
• E911 in each sector
• Softer handover testing
• Test calls are done in tested cell area
• Softer handovers are tested by walking or driving from one cell area
to other cell area
• Go to cell area
• Switch on 3G test handset and select FTD view display
• Confirm following cell parameters with RIC
• Primary Scrambling Code of the cell
• Carrier Frequency of the cell
SMS
• Send SMS to from 3G phone to 3G phone and record results
