Banks are critical to our economy. The primary function of banks is to put
their account holders' money to use by lending it out to others who can then use
it to buy homes, businesses, send kids to college.
When you deposit your money in the bank, your money goes into a big
pool of money along with everyone else's, and your account is credited with the
amount of your deposit. When you write checks or make withdrawals, that
amount is deducted from your account balance. Interest you earn on your

Banking is all about trust. We trust that the bank will have our money for us
when we go to get it. We trust that it will honor the checks we write to pay our
bills. The thing that's hard to grasp is the fact that while people are putting
money into the bank every day, the bank is lending that same money and more
to other people every day. Banks consistently extend more credit than they have
cash. That's a little scary; but if you go to the bank and demand your money,
you'll get it. However, if everyone goes to the bank at the same time and
demands their money (a run on the bank), there might be problem.

Objective:

Open new word file and find the word ‘Internet’ and replace it with ‘INTERNET’ and
search the location of the word ‘and’ from the given passage. Save the files.

The Internet is one of the 20th century's greatest communications

developments. It allows people around the world to send e-mail to one another
in a matter of seconds, and it lets you read, among other things, the articles on
HowStuffWorks.com. We're all used to seeing the various parts of the Internet
that come into our homes and offices -- the Web pages, e-mail messages and
downloaded files that make the Internet a dynamic and valuable medium. But
none of these parts would ever make it to your computer without a piece of the
Internet that you've probably never seen. In fact, most people have never stood
"face to machine" with the technology most responsible for allowing the
Internet to exist at all the router.

Telecommunication
When you make a telephone call to someone on the other side of the country,
the telephone system establishes a stable circuit between your telephone and
the telephone you're calling. The circuit might involve a half dozen or more steps
through copper cables, switches, fiber optics, microwaves and satellites, but
those steps are established and remain constant for the duration of the call. This
circuit approach means that the quality of the line between you and the person
you're calling is consistent throughout the call, but a problem with any portion of
the circuit -- maybe a tree falls across one of the lines used, or there's a power
problem with a switch -- brings your call to an early and abrupt end. When you
send an e-mail message with an attachment to the other side of the country, a
very different process is used.

doesn't matter how skilled you are and how much you love building those
miniature replicas of Star Wars™ Millennium Falcons inside authentic 1940's 6-
ounce Coca-Cola™ bottles, if there aren't people who want to buy them (i.e. a
market) then you're not going to be able to support yourself doing it. It will still
be a "hobby."

Late Wednesday night, Mumbai, India found itself the target of a ferocious terrorist attack, and the
situation remains unresolved even now, three days later. According to reports, upwards of 60
young men entered Mumbai in small inflatable boats on Wednesday night, carrying bags filled with
weapons and ammunition, and spread out to nine locations to begin their attacks. Lobbing
grenades and firing their weapons, they entered hotels, a railway station and several other
buildings, killing scores and wounding even more. As of this moment, the identity of the attackers
has yet to be definitively determined, though there are reports indicating some of the gunmen were
Pakistani - at least nine of them have been killed, nine more arrested. As of this writing, there were
a reported 151 people killed from 11 different countries - though nearly 100 were Indian. More than
