What is a breakpoint?
The damage done to an opponent by a move is a whole number of Hit Points (HP). It increments when your Pokémon is powered up to certain levels. Those levels are called breakpoints.
When the move is a fast move, breakpoints can be widely separated and the highest possible damage may be obtained well below level 40.
Powering up your Pokémon to these levels, and no further, can save you a lot of candy and stardust.

There are two breakpoint sheets, one for attack and one for defence, selected at the bottom. Both show the amount of damage, arranged by IV and level.
Select your desired combination of boss and opponent in the highlighted cells at the top left, and see the damage in the table on the right. Other information can be ignored.

What is a bulkpoint?
When a Pokémon faints in a battle, the energy stored for a charged move is wasted. Buying a little time for an extra charged attack can allow a big increase in damage output.
The levels where a Pokémon can take extra fast move hits are called bulkpoints. I've seen examples of where a single power up would allow many extra hits.

Select the bulkpoint sheet at the bottom, then enter the battle details in the highlighted cells at the top left. One or two hits from the charged move is typically appropriate.
The table shows the number of additional hits from the fast move required to defeat your Pokémon. The biggest increases tend to coincide with major defence breakpoints.

Highest levels.
If you're mainly interested in the highest breakpoint and bulkpoint levels, use the Highest Levels sheet which shows everything in one place.

New raid bosses.


Boss Raid Tier This spreadsheet needs to know the normal raid tier for each boss. When new bosses are released, set the raid tiers here.
The rest is automatic. Alternatively, grab an updated copy of this spreadsheet. You should do that once in a while anyway.

Tick if you want your inputs to be copied to the other sheets. This will slow down computation, but it saves time when using more than one sheet.

Key modification dates.


May 31st, 2018 Added support for Ditto which will transform into the boss, except that it keeps its own level, HP and IVs.
June 23rd, 2018 Added Friendship multipliers discovered by Chrales.
June 30th, 2018 Added this introduction sheet.
July 9th, 2018 Added Highest Levels sheet.
August 14th, 2018 Added the ability to override the normal raid tier for events.
August 28th, 2018 Added movesets. This permits move selection from a short list of fast moves. The option to use any move remains.
October 1st, 2018 Supported a fictional Tier 6 for Mewtwo, which has extra stamina and therefore a higher raid CP. Breakpoints and bulkpoints are unaffected.

December 13th, 2018 New effectiveness stats applied. 1.4->1.6, 0.714->0.625, 0.51->0.390625 .
January 25th, 2019 Added an option to link the sheets so that, for example, if you change the boss in one sheet, it's changed in the others too.
February 1st, 2019 Added all the new movesets and raid HPs. This doesn't affect breakpoints or bulkpoints, just the time/effort needed for the raid and the raid CPs.

Tier "6" uses more stamina than normal Tier 5 raids. Breakpoints are not affected.
