ABSTRACT
This study intends to determine the perceived level of academic stress among Grade 11 Senior
High school students specifically on the STEM strand of the University of the Cordilleras. The study used
a descriptive- comparative design for it is to examine, describe, compare and to address the problems of
the study. The researchers determined the perceived level of academic stress among Grade 11 STEM
senior high school students established on the results of the questionnaires and informal interview to
students done. The result shows that the level of academic stress perceived by Grade 11 senior high
school STEM students is high and it also shows that there is a significant difference between the
academic stress level of male and female when grouped according to gender. The university should help
the students with regards to enhance their learning habits in order to lessen the students' exposure to
academic stress. This includes giving the students a time to set their own study schedule and
recommendations for development.
