Whether you are currently employed or looking for a job, it is always important for you
to be mindful of your “soft skills” in the workplace. Soft skills are interpersonal charac-
teristics that highlight how well you work and build relationships with other peo-
ple/coworkers. In other words, soft skills showcase how you as an individual fit into
your workplace system and the value that you bring. Soft skills include but are not lim-
ited to:
Communication
Ability to Work Under Pressure
Decision Making
Time Management
Self-motivation
Conflict Resolution
Leadership
Adaptability
These skills are what employers are looking for TODAY in their prospective employ-
ees! As a young person in today’s society, possessing these characteristics will not
only make you more appealing during a job interview, but can positively impact your
life and set the standard as to how hard of a worker you can be! For more information
on soft skills and other related topics please follow the links below:

Congratulations! You have finally finished basic training and you are officially an Active
Duty member of the United States Armed Forces. Now you are ready to begin working
your respective job, additionally you will begin collecting checks for your services. For
some, the sudden influx of money can be difficult to manage but with the proper ad-
vice and influence it can surely be used to your advantage! Here are some tips to get
you started:
Get some help: Most military installations have certified financial planners to an-
swer all your questions as to how you should handle your money.
SAVE!: A common word of wise is always to “start saving your money before
you get used to spending your money”. Saving allows you to have financial security
and capabilities later on in life.
Manage your credit: Track your spending and be cautious of large, risky pur-
chases.
Make the most of your deployment: Cut expenses and boost savings while you
are gone.
Get used to asking for military discounts: Many businesses offer discounts with
valid identification, every little bit helps!

Graduation supply orders will be delivered on May 2 during all lunches. The com-
pany will be set up in the cafeteria commons. Please refer to your email from Mrs.
Fain for payment options if you still owe money.

If you still owe money on your graduation order, then you have the following pay-

pay in CASH on this date. Please bring the correct change.

payment after April 15. To pay me in cash, you must have the exact amount due. I
do not have change to give you. I will give you a school receipt for payments made
to me.

5---If I ordered your cap and gown for you, then you owe $63.13. You may either
pay for your cap and gown on May 2 with cash or pay me at anytime. Please re-
member to bring correct change as I will not have change to give you.
