Upon completion of this piece of coursework, a student will be able to:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

For the assignment in this course you will choose a topic from any of the areas that we have
covered in this module that you wish to research further. You will then conduct a literature review
on that particular topic. For examples of literature reviews, look at any academic, peer-reviewed,
journal from EBSCO or FIRSTSEARCH.

You should not be simply repeating what authors have said, but be linking theories and comparing,
contrasting, and linking what authors have written. You should also be thinking about gaps in the
literature and what research could be done in the future. Students are strongly encouraged to

find and provide links of the assignment with a specific related problem in their
organisations or in their home countries.

Examples of potential topics:


- analyse and present the current status in your country in terms of Logistics infrastructure
(e.g. Ports, rail network, trade barriers)
- compare and asses the perceived risks between local and international suppliers

 References (you must utilise the Harvard Reference System)

Your submission should be in the range of 3,500 words. Assignments that exceed the word limit will
be penalized 10%.

Use of Resources
Make sure that you reference material that helps you in addressing the issues of this assignment.
For this assignment you must rely on academic, peer reviewed, journals. The EBSCO and
FIRSTSEARCH databases are excellent resources for such material but must be applied
appropriately. Textbooks and internet related material should be avoided.

N.B.: ALL students will be required to individually download their complete assignment into the
TURNITIN database system (turnitin.com) which assists in detecting plagiarism. Further details on
this procedure will be provided before the assignment is due.

NOTE
All sentences or passages quoted in this coursework from other people's work should be
specifically acknowledged by clear cross-referencing to author, work and page(s). Failure to do
