ENGL 101

DR. SMITH
SPRING 2019 WEEBLY ASSIGNMENT

Presentation Dates: May 6 & 10

As part of your final grade, you will create a portfolio with Weebly, showcasing your work
and reflecting on your experience this semester. Your portfolio should be proofread and
polished in order to be presented to the class as part of your grade.

Please submit your Weebly link via BlackBoard for class access.

Your portfolio should have tabs with working links that lead to each page of the
portfolio.

Upon entering your Weebly page, the viewer should immediately see:
• Your Name
• A Picture (A picture of you by yourself)
• A Personal Introduction

Entries in your portfolio (in whatever order you prefer):

• Personal Narrative
• Division and Classification Paper
• The thesis and the sources you’re using for your research paper
• One in-class essay

Your portfolio should show your growth, over time, so be sure to include drafts or discuss
changes you made to each piece of work.

The First page should have the following:

Personal Introduction

Tell us about yourself (This could include anything you’d like, including but not limited to
your background, major, interests, etc). Remember this site is public, so do not share
anything you don’t wish to tell the world.

Portfolio Pages should have one entry for each page. Each entry
should have one of the following:
Introduction: When was this writing assignment? What was the purpose of the writing
assignment? What improvements did you make to the assignment and how has your
writing improved from the first draft to the last?

Reflection: What was the hardest part of writing this assignment? What was something you
did well on this assignment? If you had to do the assignment again, what would you do?
What do you think you learned from this assignment?

Upload the file at the end or copy and paste the writing below the reflection.

A few words:

 Your portfolio pages do NOT have to be in any particular order. You may choose to
organize your Weebly in any form that speaks to your journey through this class.
Just be sure to show your authentic experience.
 Keep pages as clean as possible as you design them. Readers can become distracted
if too much information appears on a page or if the background is too “noisy.”
 This portfolio should reflect your personality, your interests, and your scholarship.
 I know this is a class assignment but please, HAVE FUN!
