CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Construction Project Section 2 in


MM2100 consists of several components of work. The Construction is
located in Cibitung from STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 with the length
1,358 km.

The job items of Construction in section 2 MM2100 are bored pile,


footing, abutment, pillar, pierhead, and girder. Based on time
schedule, Construction in section 2 started on 29th September 2015
and will be completed on 2019.

1.2 Purpose of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Construction

a. To reduce congestion on Jagorawi Toll Road and Jakarta –


Cikampek Toll Road.
b. To facilitate access to Cibitung,Cikarang and surroundings area
from Cimanggis without having to go through Jakarta - Cikampek

2.1 General Data of the Project

2.2 Work Progress


Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Project Construction Section 2 in
MM2100 from STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 , the percentage of work
items that can be achieved on 5th August 2018 is 29,073 %, while the
progress planned is 78,57%. So, the percentage of work remaining is
49,497%.

Based on the data above, the ongoing work item is almost


complete. On August 5th, 2018, bored pile items and footings are
completed on land that already free, and pillar items are almost
complete, so the remaining work is abutment, pier head and girder
installation.

This project is delayed because of some problems; there has been an


accident about the human error, change of structure design, and Internal
major problem. Therefore, PT Waskita Karya needs to take some action to
overcome problems, by complete the utility sterilization process at the
project location quickly, so that every target of this construction project can
be reached on time.
