Due date: January 14 (Monday for MTH schedule) and January 15 (Tuesday for TF schedule) at
the Psychology Department, 3rd floor, Social Science Building.

Please write your life story in paragraph form.


Direction: Provide the vital information necessary to complete your life story. The four (4)
categories are the following: Family History, Personal History, Most Important Experiences,
and View of the Social World.

As you write your life story, integrate a maximum 40 concepts or theories from the
perspectives (Philosophy, Sociology, Anthropology, Eastern/Western Cultures and Psychology)
and follow these instructions:
1. UNDERLINE, BOLD and HIGHLIGHT IN YELLOW COLOR the 40 concepts/theories from
the 5 perspectives in understanding the self that you used. None compliance to basic
instructions will have a deduction of 20 points. Rubrics will be provided.
2. MAKE SURE THAT THE CONCEPTS ARE SENSIBLY USED AND CONTEXTUAL.

3. Come up with an eight page story only. Do not put pictures. When writing, please go
straight to the point.
4. Be sure you write in a chronological fashion. You can use the suggested outline below to
construct your life story.
5. Enumerate all 40 concepts in a separate paper apart from your 8 page story. Explain
why you used such concept.
6. Site your sources or references at the 9th page of your project.

Relationship with parents. Habits, interests, favorite parent, attitude towards you. Activities
with parents.
B. Sisters and Brothers
Order of Birth: Characteristic of each. Attachments. Relationships with siblings.
C. Larger family circle. Grandparents and relatives. Relationships.

D. Physical surroundings of youth, city, or nature of home.

E. PERSONAL HISTORY
Habits. health. play, interests, relationships, friendships, etc.
F. SCHOOL AND COLLEGE HISTORY.
Course, clubs joined, friendships, interests, hobbies, relationships, academic performance,
honors, awards, etc.
G. MOST IMPORTANT EXPERIENCES
H. GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS.
I. VIEW OF THE SOCIAL WORLD
State briefly what you believe to be:
Your general perception of life.
How the world sees you?
How do you perceive yourself to be?
