Dear Mr. Sippel,

I am interested in applying for the secondary-level biology/chemistry/physics teaching

position in your school district. As a 2021 graduate of ASU, I will have a wide variety of student
teaching experience at the middle and high school levels, in urban school districts. In addition, I
have a had a wide array of lab and STEM major experiences. I believe my teaching experience
and passion to help my students learn and find their talents would make me an ideal candidate
for the science teaching position available at your school.

I have experience teaching middle and high school students in a variety of classroom
settings. I am currently teaching juniors and seniors at a Title 1 school. As a former student
teacher assistant, I also have experience guiding students in secondary education through to
develop high quality interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Your school
emphasizes going above and beyond the duties asked of them in order to provide students with
an inclusive and open environment, so I think my varied experiences would make me an asset
to your program as I would strive to help the students learn and grow into their best selves.

Your school also strives to develop the students’ sense of character. I have lots of
experience incorporating self-awareness and appreciation aspects into my classrooms. For
example, as a student teacher, I welcomed all my students to come to me with any problems to
which I help them reach a solution while also helping them realize their own skills and
attributes. I made sure my classroom environments were not merely a place to learn but also a
place to grow.

It is my goal to combine my growing range of experience with my ability to be a

compassionate, enthusiastic, progressive teacher who will make a positive contribution to your
school district, the science curriculum, and larger community. I would be extremely greatful to
