Introduction
Welcome to Madrid! To get your tour started, we will explore Madrid this evening, including the
Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran Via; a vibrant district where you can dine at
your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern are some of the
options.
Day 1: Madrid
Madrid,
Start Point
Spain
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Evening transport to the Gran Vía district. Welcome to Madrid! Upon
arrival at the airport, we shall be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the informative
panels in the hotel reception area for the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers
to receive information about the circuit. Towards the end of the day, we provide transfers to the
Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran Via; a vibrant district where you can dine at
your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern are some of the
options.
Day 2: Madrid
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Madrid city tour. Stroll through the Retiro Park. Visit to the Plaza de
Toros de las Ventas bullring. Night transfer The day starts about 08.30 hrs with a comprehensive
tour through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of
Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. Visit to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where
we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Admission to Las Ventas Bullring included. This is
one of the most famous bullrings in the world where we will learn about the tradition of “corridas”
in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. At sunset we provide a transfer to
Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many
restaurants serving different exquisite cuisines (Indian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Spanish,
International) in which to enjoy a pleasant dinner. Return to hotel.
Day 4: Barcelona
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Barcelona city tour. “Spanish Village” visit and evening transfer to Las
Ramblas district. Today we will get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Medi-
terranean Sea. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert (note: If the group
has fewer than fifteen people, explanations can be given by our guide.) We also visit the city’s
historic central area with its Gothic neighbourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. We will visit
the area where the Olympic Games took place. It will be possible to see and photograph La
Sagrada Familia basilica; the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaudí. Subsequently, we
include the entry ticket to “Poble Espanyol” (meaning “Spanish Village”). This open air
architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be
delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and
folklore of the different communities in Spain. Free time to explore the city on your own. In the
evening we provide transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area, where you can select
from a great variety of restaurants (including Indian, Chinese, Halal, International and regional
Spanish cuisine). Return to hotel.
Day 7: Granada
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS : Visit to the Alhambra. Night transfer. A full day in GRANADA and tour
(including entrance and local guide) of the immense Alhambra Palace and its beautiful
Generalife gardens built in Arab times. Time for lunch. Free afternoon to see the Cathedral with
the sepulchre of the Catholic Kings. Later, enjoy an evening transfer to the Albaicín of Granada,
a World Heritage site along with the Alhambra, where you can enjoy dinner in a restaurant in the
narrow winding streets of this captivating Medieval Moorish quarter. Tonight you have the option
to attend a flamenco dance show and the traditional neighborhood of Sacramonte.Note: in the
Alhambra complex, the Nazari palaces allow a limited number of people in at a time. Sometimes
your visit may be in the afternoon, depending on the timetables in which we are allowed in. In
the highly improbable case of not being able to visit this area of the Alhambra, a visit to the
Alcázares will be included in Seville (which have similar architecture and features).
Day 9: Seville
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Guided visit with local expert in Seville. Night transfer to the historic
city centre. After breakfast, a local expert guides you through a scenic visit of Seville featuring
the Cathedral and its famous Giralda, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, popular
neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de España. (Note: If the group
is fewer than fifteen travellers, it can be arranged in both Spanish and English). Enjoy leisure
time straight afterwards. At the end of the afternoon, we will go to the historic city centre area
(Calle Alfonso XII) where many different restaurants can be found. You can choose your favorite
cuisine: Indian, Halal, Chinese, Spanish, International, and so on.

My only issue was that we should have been supplied with maps
before they day's tour so we were aware of our locations.

Price and quality all wonderful, can't wait for next trip

Itinerary was fantastic... and we worked hard to take every
advantage of the itinerary (from the Sacred Family in Barcelona to
the Royal Place, the Alhambra, Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba...
and so many more) as well as several optional programs. On many
days there was free time built in which we used to see and do even
more. Typical days started with breakfast at ~7 AM and, for us, an
evening walk, light dinner or tapas, and maybe a little TV at ~10 PM
to unwind. Besides getting a look and feel for the many cultures of
Spain, we met people from all over the world on our transforming
tour group. Transforming in that EuropaMundo will join and spin-off
tour groups, or individual clients, to some degree over the duration
of the tour. A bothersome complaint, is that we could not get
matrimonial beds (double or queen size of a couple) at our hotels.
Tour guide(s) and hotels said this was typical for Spain, but another
tour guide changed rooms with us in one city and we paid 30 Euros
for 2 nights in another city to upgrade to a matrimonial room. So,
something doesn't seem right here. If you want to share a bed with
your spouse/partner maybe you need to be very explicit and up
front with the requirement.

Maria was lovely. Very happy with the whole tour.
The first day of the tour generally starts from Praga in Madrid and as the first day is just an
arrivals day you can arrive at any time. A complimentary transfer will be waiting for you at
the airport to take you to your accommodation in Madrid. Towards the end of the day, the
tour operator provides transfers to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran
Vía, a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant, so we recommend
arriving beforehand. Please be aware the starting point is subject to change until your final
documents are released.
Tha maximum group size is 50 passengers per tour however on average the group is
smaller in size of 15-20 people.
After yet another day full of experiences where you will visit the Mosque of Cordoba and
the Windmills in Consuegra, you will arrive back in Madrid at approximately 8 pm. Due to
the late arrival, we recommend staying in Madrid an extra night, to make sure you don't
miss your flights in case of a delay.
Please see below the list of optional excursions, however, please note this list is a
guideline only and that all prices are subject to change: Flamenco Night with Dinner. Price:
60 USD La Sagrada Familia of Antonio Gaudi. Price: 40 USD Tablao Flamenco Zambra
Gitana. Price: 30 USD Artisic and Seville Cathedral. Price: 25 USD Sevillian Night in Patio
Sevilla. Price: 40 USD
All accommodations are subject to change until 4-6 weeks before the departure date. After
the booking is made you will be issued your final trip documents with your specific
accommodation details. This is a list of hotels that they typically stay at, but please be
advised that they are subject to change: Praga Front Air Congress Sercotel Sorolla or
Eurostars Rey Don Jaime Hotel Alixares Alcora Sevilla Hopefully, this list will give you a
better idea of what kind of accommodation you can expect while on tour.
The minimum age requirement for this tour is 5 years old, which means that children under
5 years of age are not eligible to join this tour. There is no maximum age limit for this tour
and all mature travellers are welcome to join!
Of course, we can! Once you have a confirmed booking on this tour, we can request
additional accommodation for you with the tour operator.
This tour includes an airport arrival transfer, however, when the tour finishes you will need
to make your own way back to the airport.
