    ECO SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT FOR DESIGN INNOVATION CENTER (DIC)


    About DIC:
    MHRD Design-center innovation is a force multiplier that can help the country move up the
    value chain, making Indian industry globally competitive. In this context, Ministry of Human Resource
    Development proposes to launch a National Initiative for Design Innovation in the Twelfth Plan.

    GTU has received grant of Rs 1.8 Cr (10 cr. part of 3-year programme) to establish Design
    Innovation Center (DIC) in Hub (GTU - Chandkheda) and Spoke (AVPTI- Rajkot, GEC – Surat & GEC
    - Modasa) Model to support students Innovation and Startups at Gujarat State. The prime objective of
    Design Innovation Center is to inculcate creative mindset that enables to solve the problems of industry
    as well as the society.

    About Event:
    Initially event has been organized on 3rd Dec 2018 for Eco System developing for DIC where 75
    Participant has take part in event. DIC event coordinator has explained support provided through DIC
    Mechanism for DIC at GTU HUB
     Ecosystem Development
     Scouting of Ideas.
     Workshop/Skill Development/Boot Camp/Hack-A Thon etc. Program
     Helping (Mentoring/Financial/Component form) Students/Researchers/Innovator for Making
    PoC/Prototype
     Support Through FABLAB
     IPR and Patent filling Support
     Pre-Incubation
     Incubation
     Start up Support
