SHAZAM, think deadpool, think ant man, think guardians of the galaxy.
This movie perpetuates the mix of comedy, action and superhero
awesomeness as a package. Especially with superhero movies at an all
time high no wonder this movie is a resounding success, its rated 91%
on rotten tomatoes for ffs. *bleep*

Anyways… here goes the storyline, billy batson is gifted with the ability
to transform into the adult superhero by saying one word- that is
shazam. While being astounded with the abilities he has now, he was
also struggling to grasp it all and also racing against time as an evil
enemy dr Thadeus Sivana, who was in a pursuit for the skills he now
has.

So with the headlines now covered, lets get into the nitty gritty of it all.
We start with the technical bits, the movie doesn’t directly come across
as a DC film as 60% of the film, particularly in the middle is shot with a
sitcom drama vibe to it but otherwise was shot very well. The acting
wasn’t particularly great but since when did superhero movies need
them, no offence particularly asher angel in this one, reminds me of the
acting in the first movies of harry potter where it feels slightly uneasy to
watch. Otherwise the cast was great, Zachary Levi, Mark Strong are
veterans in acting so it shouldn’t be much of an issue.

The comedy in it was great, much like deadpool but without the
adult/dark humour. Most of the jokes hit the spot though some was just
unnecessarily cringy. The Sound FX were good they worked, And it just
floweeeedddweelllll. So an amazing movie to watch, definitely worth it. A
new perspective for A superhero movie.

DC have made many movies in the past and this one particularly stands
out wit\\tt te radical change in mood, being happy and jolly and what
have you….. *drops the joker trailer*
Ah well, about that, dc is going to release the joker movie late on in
october, i might have spoken too soon there with the happy thing but
anyways. Watch shazam, watch joker, quite a contrast i bet, but i hope it
goes well for DC, cos jokers trailer seems depressive,
