JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Commit to a position averaging about 5-10 hours a week, including attending regular weekly general
meetings, about 1-2 hours, and regular, weekly board meetings, about 1-2 hours.
2. Takes pictures at all events, programs, and meetings to post onto the website/Facebook and collects all club
paraphernalia for events, programs, infrastructure, etc.
3. Works closely with board to implement projects and address the general needs of the club
4. Participate, support, and help organize programs, events, and activities sponsored by Rotaract at UC Irvine
5. Sit on program subcommittees for all major Rotaract at UC Irvine events
6. Work with the board to develop programs and create an inclusive and welcoming environment between
membership
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Full-time student (e. g. 12 units or more per quarter)
2. Cumulative 3.0 GPA (preferred)
3. Ability to work well with a team of diverse people and beliefs
4. Ability to present ideas in an organized and cogent manner
5. Have a passion for spreading the importance of service and increasing campus population engagement in the
community
6. Competent with marketing/publicity
7. Year-long commitment to an assigned 5-10 hour-per-week position
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
1. Acquire organizational skills and a system to record all previous events and programs
2. Develop a commitment to principles of values and issues-based leadership
3. Ability to plan and implement programs of benefit to the Rotaract Club of UC Irvine and community-at-large
4. Develop better organizational and planning skills
5. Engender a collaborative bond with other teammates
