Podium for the home LED lighting fixtures are suitable for a multitude of applications in and around the
home. These decorative and functional products enable consumers to personalise their surroundings,
whilst utilising the latest trends in lighting. This comprehensive range complements modern interior
design, creating an enhanced ambience to perform tasks more easily. It can also be used to light
outdoor environments in a very efficient way.

Minimalistic and refreshing

The inspiring design of the lighting fixtures is minimalistic, versatile, stylish and contemporary. The
pure refreshing light created by this LED lighting range delivers a welcoming and natural feel that can
be used to stunning effect in many different applications.

Delight in light
LED lighting represents the biggest revolution in lighting technology since Edison first invented the
incandescent lamp, but the innovation and progress of LED does not stop here. It is no surprise
that LEDs are proving so popular since they are much more energy efficient and durable than other
conventional light sources. The brightness of LEDs has improved at an amazing rate in recent years,
opening up new application opportunities every day. LEDs are ideal for a multitude of domestic
applications, including architectural lighting, walkway lighting, interior spotlighting and even ambient
lighting in hard to reach places, where long lifetimes are a real asset.

 The range includes powerLEDs, which have a much higher light output than their
predecessors. Philips Luxeon Rebel LEDs are used for all LED fixtures in the Podium for
the home range. Luxeon Rebels are the smallest surface mounted powerLEDs available
today and boast the industry's best lumen per Watt package.

The advantages of the LED lighting range:

• High level of energy efficiency

LEDs require only a fraction of the energy consumed by conventional light bulbs. They are more
economical to use because they require less energy to produce light of equal brightness.

• Extremely long lifespan: 20.000 hrs

• High light output

Two LED configurations are used, depending on the type of luminaire:
- Single LED, delivering a light output equivalent to that of a 15 W incandescent lamp.
- Triple LED combined in one LED unit, delivering a light output equivalent to that of a 45 W
incandescent lamp.

• Warm white light

The LEDs used are warm white (2700 K) which are comparable with halogen or incandescent lamps.

• Low temperature performance

LEDs operate in ambient temperatures as low as -20°C.

• Safe, low voltage operation

LEDs operate on a safety extra-low voltage (SELV), which gives better to cost benefits and greater
safety.

• No UV or IR

• The majority of LED lighting fixtures in the range are dimmable

• Quick start

• Compact

• Shockproof, robust and reliable

Because LEDs do not have a fragile filament and contain no glass, they are very robust and more
durable than any other light source.

strict quality control procedures and we use premium raw materials, such as aluminium, stainless
