Description:

The machines will be based on pressure blasting principle. They will have 1(one) nozzle
in each. The detailed description of machine is as follow:`

Power Pack Unit : The power pack unit will consists blast generator. The abrasive will
be filled at the top of machine when machine is not working and blast generator is not
pressurized. At the top a vibrating sieve will be provided to sieve the abrasive filled. The
over size abrasive and debris will be retained on the screen, thus prevent the choking of
blast line. When mushroom valve is opened the abrasive will get transferred to blast
generator for recycling. The mushroom valve gets closed when compressed air is
switched on and abrasive storage tank gets pressurized, for free fall of abrasive into
mixing tube. From mixing tube the abrasive is carried away by compressed air to the
nozzle for blasting.

The Blast Generator will be fabricated from MS Steel plate of thickness not less than 6
mm as per IS-2825 and it will be hydraulically tested for 250 psi.

Blast generator capacity :

P7- 150 150 KG of Grit = 65 KG of Sand

P7-301R 300 KG of Grit = 130 KG of Sand
P7-501R 500 KG of Grit = 230 KG of Sand
P7-1001R 100 KG of Grit = 460 Kg. of Sand

Mixing tube : One No. will be provided. It mixes abrasive

with compressed air.

Pinch Valve : One No. will be provided to control the feed

of abrasive going to blast nozzle. It provides
critical control on blasting quality

Automatic Exhaust Valve : One No. will be provided. It gets open for
instant depressurization of blast chamber. It
gets open or close each time the machine is
depressurized or pressurized.

Inspection Hole : One No. Inspection hole will be provided in

Remote Control Valve

And Deadman’s Handle : One No. Remote Control Valve and
Deadman’s Handle will be provided so that a
operator can switch ON/OFF the blasting
with a deadman’s handle fitted with nozzle.

Colour/Painting : The inside and outside surface of the equipment to be brush cleaned
and given two coats of red oxide primer. The exterior of the equipment shall be painted
with one coat of synthetic enamel, air drying, shade Phiroza Blue.
