Hey ya’ll!

My name is Miss Moorehead and I will be your Sixth Grade

Social Studies teacher this year! I am super excited that we have this whole

year together and I cannot wait to get started. We will be learning about

ancient civilizations and much more. I hope you had a fabulous summer

because I know I did!

I am most passionate about Social Studies, but I love learning new

things every day. This is a new, exciting chapter for students transitioning

from elementary school to middle school. Please do not hesitate to contact

me with any questions or concerns for the upcoming year. This is my first

year teaching and I look forward to watching the growth we will experience

together.

In my classroom we will do small group work and performance based

projects. This is not just a pencil and paper classroom. I will incorporate

technology in meaningful ways in a safe, welcoming environment that

promotes students engagement, learning, and collaboration. For more

Want to know some things about me? I was born and raised in

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, (GO STEELERS!) in a family of all girls. I attended

Coastal Carolina University where I earned my Master’s Degree in Middle
