DOCUMENTATION OF THE CURRENT SYSTEM

STI College Angeles Library is currently using infoLib Library Information System

which is downloaded from the internet and uses pen and paper for the attendance of the

students entering the library.

infoLib Library Information System is a library system designed to provide library

and information management solutions for small libraries. This library system includes a

Maintenance Module, Cataloging Module and Circulation Module. The Maintenance

Module is for the administrator of the system where the basic configuration is performed.

These include user and password setup, location, material and category group to be used Commented [C1]: Eh????

in circulation module. In the Cataloging Module, the librarian can add, update, and delete

book records and holdings. Lastly, the Circulation Module, this module will track the

transactions on borrowing, returning and reservation of materials.

In keeping the attendance of the students entering the library, the librarian provides

a printed attendance record for students everyday which will be filled out with their student

number, name, course/track, section, the time they arrive and their purpose in visiting the Commented [C2]: Where is the Purpose Column?

library. And when they leave the library they must fill out the time-out field. At the end of

the month, the librarian counts the number of students who entered the library and classify

them by their courses or tracks.

For the students to be registered and have a library ID, they have to see the librarian

and they will be given a blank library card which will they fill-out with their information.

This library card will be used in borrowing of books.
