Erratic Shifts/Falls Out of 4th/TCC Kills the Engine
The above complaints can be caused by using an aftermarket pilot valve spring that was designed for
the RE4F04A. When the heavier aftermarket spring is used in the RE4F04B transmission there will be
too much solenoid feed oil and the solenoids become flooded. This will cause erratic shifting.

DO NOT use aftermarket

RE4F04A springs here. The RE4F04B valve body can be identified
by the TCC control valve line up
