Summary:
Music has an important role in children’s lives. Music is sound and is made up of sonic
properties. People make music alone and together. The term musicking means making music or
engaging in music. Music consists of an array of sonic dialects, these can be familiar to
everyone, or unfamiliar. Music is diverse. Music has power and impacts a range of moods,
emotions, and feelings. There is a long history of the study of music. Music added to other
creative thinking so that they will be prepared for the ever changing world. Froebel influenced
how we learn using toys. Playful exploration is needed. A lot is learned just from playing.
Creative thinking process can be thought as a creative learning spiral, including, imagine, create,
play, share, reflect, and imagine. This is the engine of creative thinking. After kindergarten,
children don’t learn like this, but they should always use creative thinking. Creativity doesn’t
have to be about artistic expression and everyone can be creative and teach creativity.
