This document will guide you in installing Event Plus and Folio Plus Software.

First we need to install the prerequisite softwares to successfully install Event Plus Folio Plus. To do that
Follow the steps below.

1. . Open the Folio Installer folder, from there you will see the softwares needed to run Event Plus and Folio
Plus

2. Install 1_connector.

a. Double click 1_connector


b. Click Next. c. Choose Typical, then click Next

d. Click Install to proceed e. Click Finish after completion.


3. Install 2_mysql-connector-odbc-5.3.6-winx86

a. Double click 2_mysql-connector- b. Click Next to proceed.

c. Click Typical, then click Next d. Click Install to proceed.

e. Click Finish when completed


4. Next we need to install 3_MySQL-Crystal

a. Right Click 3_MySQL-Crystal, then b. Click Next to proceed


Run as administrator

c. In choose components, install 1_Crystal, 3_CRRedist2008_x86,2_ CRRedist2008_x86 and


MySql_32bit OR 64bit depends on your system. Click Install to proceed.
a. Click Next. b. Click on I ACCEPT THE TERMS
IN THE LICENSE AGREEMENT,
then click Next

c. On Setup Type, If you are using “Deepfreeze”, click on Custom, you need to
change the installation path to another partition which is not protected by
Deepfreeze, for example, Drive D: , IF NOT, just choose Typical then click Next.
To Change the Installation Path do the following

a. Click CHANGE to change the b. Change the Drive Letter from C: to

then NEXT

c. Click Install to proceed d. Click Next

e. Click Finish
MySQL Configuration window will appear after the installation.

a. Click Next
b. Click Next

c. Click Next d. Click Next


e. In This window, you need to change the PORT NUMBER: to 3307 then click on the empty box beside the
“Add exception for this port”. Uncheck the “ENABLE STRICT MODE” then click Next.

f. Click on “INCLUDE BIN DIRECTORY g. New root password : root


IN WINDOWS PATH” then click Next. Confirm : root
click on Enable root access from remote
machines then click Next to proceed

h. Click Execute i. Click Finish

5. Now we proceed to 5_Add-ons installation.

a. Double click 5_Add-ons

b. Click next to proceed

c. Click Install
d. Click Setup to continue e. Then click Install to proceed

f. These are not errors, it pop’s up because there is no


printer detected, just click OK to continue the installation
6. We can now Install Event Plus and Folio Plus

Event Plus
a. Double click Event b. Click Next to proceed

c. Click on Everyone then click Next d. Click Next

e. Click Close.
Folio Plus
a. Double click Folio b. Click Next

c. Click Next d. Click Next

e. then click Close.


Creating Database for Events Plus
a. If your System is running 64bit operating system, follow this link: C:\Program Files
(x86)\Jinisys Software, Inc\Event Academe\Create Database\Debug
If you are running 32bit operating system, use this link: C:\Program Files\Jinisys Software,
Inc\Event Academe\Create Database\Debug

b. Right Click Create Database, then choose Run as administrator

c. Do the following.

1. If you are using DeepFreeze, you need to browse for MySQL 2. On “Database For:”, click on the drop
path located on the drive where you install MYSQL, if NOT, you down button then choose Event
don’t have to change the path

3. On Database name:
type the name of your 4. Click Create
database,
for example, academe1

d. Wait until Finished, then Click Ok

*NOTE : We usually create 5 or more databases for Academe, what we will do is to


change the Database name again then click create to create a new Database, for example
Academe2, Academe3 etc.
Creating Database for Folio Plus : Hotel
a. If your System is running 64bit operating system, follow this link: C:\Program Files
(x86)\Jinisys Software, Inc\Folio Academe\Create Database\Debug
If you are running 32bit operating system, use this link: C:\Program Files\Jinisys Software,
Inc\Folio Academe\Create Database\Debug

b. Right Click Create Database, then choose Run as administrator

c. Do the following.

1. If you are using DeepFreeze, you need to browse for MySQL 2. On “Database For:”, click on the drop
path located on the drive where you install MYSQL, if NOT, you down button then choose Hotel
don’t have to change the path

3. On Database name:

Creating Database for Folio Plus : Resto
a. If your System is running 64bit operating system, follow this link: C:\Program Files
(x86)\Jinisys Software, Inc\Folio Academe\Create Database\Debug
If you are running 32bit operating system, use this link: C:\Program Files\Jinisys Software,
Inc\Folio Academe\Create Database\Debug

b. Right Click Create Database, then choose Run as administrator

c. Do the following.

1. If you are using DeepFreeze, you need to browse for MySQL 2. On “Database For:”, click on the drop
path located on the drive where you install MYSQL, if NOT, you down button then choose Resto
don’t have to change the path

4. On Hotel database: choose the


database you created for hotel, for
3. On Database name: example, Hotel_academe1
type the name of your
database,
for example, academe
5. Click Create

d. Wait until Finished, then Click Ok

*NOTE : We usually create 5 or more databases for Academe, what we will do is to


change the Database name again then click create to create a new Database, for example
Academe2, Academe3 etc.
