 Motivation letter

With this letter, I would like to express my intentions of applying to one of the
prestigious laboratories, the mechanical metallurgy laboratory, which is looking for a
new generation of laboratory assistants. From my experience throughout my college
life, nothing intrigues me more to tap in my curiosity other than studying mechanical
metallurgy. For me, mechanical metallurgy as a field of study is an interesting one, as
the deformation mechanism of materials is continuously maintaining its place as an
interesting subject to be investigated. This is due to the fact that we still to find the
most optimum way to form objects with the best compliance to specification and
efficiency factor, that there is still big room for improvements. While I haven’t had
any experience like on job trainings, certifications, or similar things in the mechanical
metallurgy, my experience being a participant in the mechanical metallurgy
laboratory and as a college student studying both of those field of study throughout
my academic life gives me confidence and courage running to become an assistant of
this laboratory.

Some opportunities comes only once in your lifetime, and I see applying to become a
laboratory assistant is one of those opportunities. For me, this opportunity gives a new
excitement in my life, one that I will fight with all my heart for. Learning first hand
in this laboratory about mechanical metallurgy, while applying what I’ve learned
through teaching others to understand the basic concepts about this field of study, is
something that I would like to experience and do. In my eyes, I see this laboratory as
one of the most exciting and interesting laboratory in the metallurgy and material
department.

Many of my peers surrounding my environment view this field of study as one of the
most challenging during their time as a student studying this major, but I believe that
this field should be looked upon as an interesting one with possibly limitless potentials
in learning. This motivates me to be someone who could change the perspective about
this field of study through teaching the next generation of students about this field of
study.
Reasons why I should be chosen as one of the laboratory assistants are because I have
a great curiosity and willing to deepen my knowledge in the field of mechanical
metallurgy. I also have strong commitment, good communication skills, strong
teamwork quirk, and I see myself as a leader amongst men. For me, nothing seems
more enjoyable than working with new people and achieving something great
together and I see myself as someone who excels in teamwork. I have many
qualifications on teamwork and project management as I have worked on some big
projects throughout my college life and I have many experiences in handling things
related to human resources and project managing, which results in my understanding
in building a good relationship and communication with my working partners.
Flexibility, diligence, patience, and passion is also my quirk.

In my freshmen years, I once set out my goals and what I have to achieve in my life
during my college years, and being a laboratory assistant is a un-ticked box on my
college bucket list. I hope I am given a chance to experience and a chance to fulfill
my freshmen dreams which I kept until this time. Through being given a chance, I
will prove myself as an ever-growing, hungry, and curious individual which will take
full responsibility as a laboratory assistant and widen the horizon of improvements
throughout the mechanical metallurgy laboratory.

heart out to join the ranks of the mechanical metallurgy laboratory.
