It is a real pleasure to recommend Vincent Zahm for a teaching position. Vince student
taught in social studies classrooms at Milan High School. He taught both American history
and economics. Vince had an excellent rapport with each of his three cooperating teachers.
They were very pleased with the quality of his work and the relationships he built.

Vince writes comprehensive lesson plans that use a variety of instructional techniques. His
students are actively engaged during his instruction. Vince excels at incorporating higher
level thinking activities into his daily plans. Vince encourages students to look beyond
what is given. His lesson plans are creative and engaging. He does an excellent job of
relating historical events to students’ real life experiences.

Vince has developed an effective classroom management plan. He understands the value of
building relationships, and understanding his students both in the classroom and beyond
the school day.

Vince is a natural leader. He has outstanding people skills. He is mature, confident and
professional. He works well with others and is both positive and flexible.

Vince also brings his coaching experience to the classroom. This experience is valuable
both for classroom management and building relationships within the classroom. He is
naturally at ease with the students and has a good sense of humor.

Vince is reflective about his teaching, and uses his reflections to adjust and refine his
lessons. He is receptive to new ideas and suggestions.
