Marijuana Legalization

How is marijuana harmful and/or beneficial to people? And how does legalizing it impact

Americans?

As I looked through different research topic suggestions, marijuana stuck out to me.

When I read it, my first thought was how does it harm and/or benefit others? And based on

those results, what would be the impact of legalizing it. As I have seen and heard children

talking about smoking weed and seen the negative affect it has had on teenagers, I want to be

aware of the dangers and respect the benefits of marijuana.

Based off of what I know about marijuana and marijuana legalization, I have seen

scenarios where doctors have distributed it to a few different ages for health scenarios. In

scenarios where it is used to feel numb or for fun, I don’t think are wise. Not doing any

research, I think marijuana really is a good thing, but, only when used for health purposes. I

think that legalizing marijuana would only be harmful. When it’s legalized, it would be much

easier to get hold of and would be harmfully distributed.

I hope to learn what is good and bad about marijuana and how legalization of it will

impact Americans. I think the best way to do that is to look at websites, find statistics,

interviews, Ted Talks, and research books. By the end of the semester, I would like to be able to

know enough to help make others aware and protect them from harming themselves.

Legalizing marijuana, and giving it restrictions, would end the argument and help more people to reduce
pain.
