3. Train Station Collections. Thanks to everyone was made for all their work All.
and ideas. The train station has been approached and are happy to allow us to
collect for Battle of Britain week on the 9th September at Swindon and 12th
September at Kemble. It was agreed that we would benefit from a uniformed
presence at these collections.

4. Newsletter. This has been a real success and will be going out to all non
email members next week. Please can we encourage all non email members to
share their email addresses as this will save diverting funds away from the All
branch to pay for postage etc.

5. Summer Barbecue. Clare has investigated pricing for a Summer Barbecue

for the branch which was agreed would be held as a Family barbecue and would
cost £7.50 per head. The group unanimously agreed to this and Claire will liaise All
with Janet to arrange a date with entertainment in the evening. This could also
raise funds towards Wings Appeal.

Item 5 – Fundraising

6. Supermarket collections/Various Events for 2019. A full agenda for Nick

fundraising events for this year is now in place. Mandy is managing this, and we
will post this widely. The Cadet Sqns hope to be able to support us, and we
agreed to a join venture at North Swindon Orbital park. Nick Goddard of 878 Sqn
will look to arrange.

7. Other events. A full programme is in place for the rest of the year and Claire Claire
kindly offered to give a presentation in June on the Invictus Games where she
won Bronze medal in 2017. Claire hopes to co-present with others involved in the
event.

8. Brew for a Few. Discussion took place around the use of the £119 donation
from a members passing. It was agreed at the last branch committee meeting
that it would be used for a Brew for the Few on Battle of Britain week possibly at Hughie
the Pop In Shop in town. This idea was discussed further and it was suggested
that we held it on Saturday 14th September if Isobel was able to open up. This
would also help with the town collection and would given us a base to use for
resting etc allowing better help with the fundraising. Hughie will liaise with Isobel.
Hughie is also liaising with Christchurch to arrange this years Battle of Britain All
service. Claire will play the Last Post and Reveille again and we hope Roy will
parade the standard.
