MAHARASHTRA ANCIENT MONUMENTS AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES AND REMAINS ACT, 1960.
No. Smarak 2013/C.R. 126/Cul. III.— Whereas, the Government Notification Tourism and
Cultural Affairs Department, No. Smarak 2013/C.R. 126/Cul. III, dated the 6th August, 2013, the
Government of Maharashtra had given two months notice of its intention to declare the ancient
and historical monuments specified in the Schedule appended hereto (hereinafter referred to as
“ the said monument”), be a protected monument ;
And whereas, the Government has not received any objections to the making of such
declaration ;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 4 of the
Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Mah. XII of
1961), the Government of Maharashtra hereby declare the said ancient and historical monument
to be a protected monument.

Name of the monument to be : Yashwantgad.

Ownership : Shri. Arun Vasantrao Redkar.
Particulars : The Yashwantgad fort situated at Sukalbhat, Taluka
Vengurla, District Sindhudurg was built by Aadilshah
of Vijapur in 16th century. In the year 1662 Chatrapati
Shivaji conquered this fort and gives the name
Yashwantgad. After death of Chatrapati Shivaji,
Fondsawant of Sawantwadi capture this fort. They
mainly used this fort for robbing the ships travelling in
nearby sea. In 1899 British army capture this fort
Fondsawant and used for salt storage and police station.
The fort is divided into the two parts viz inner and outer
fort. To reach the inner fort one has to cross three
gateways, one chowk and one mote. The main
architecture of the fort has been change several times
and shows the influence of Islamic, Maratha and British
architecture.

MAHARASHTRA ELECTRICITY DUTY ACT, 1958.

No. ELD. 2015/CR. 147/NRG-1.— Whereas, by the Government Notification, Industries,
Energy and Labour Department, No. ELD. 2015/CR. 21/NRG-1, dated the 13th April, 2015 issued
in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with Parts A, B, C, F and G
of the Schedule appended to the Maharashtra Electricity Duty Act (XL of 1958) (hereinafter
referred to as “ the said Act ”), the Government of Maharashtra has levied the Electricity Duty in
respect of the consumption of energy to the premises failing under Parts mentioned in column (2)
of the Table appended to said notification, at the rates mentioned against each of the Parts, in
column (3) of the said Table ;
Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra has, vide Government Resolution, Industries,
Energy and Labour Department, No. ITP. 2013/C.R. 265/Ind-2, dated the 25th August 2015 declared
the Maharashtra’s Information Technology or Information Technology Enabled Services Policy
(IT or ITES)-2015 (hereinafter referred to as the “ said Policy ”) and under the said Policy,
exemption is given from the payment of Electricity Duty in respect of the consumption of the
energy by New Information Teclnology or Information Technology Enabled Services (IT or ITES)
units registered with the Directorate of Industries from the date of commencement of production
or activity for units in private Information Technology (IT) parks [ including Information
Technology (IT) hardware and Telecom hardware manufacturing units ], in A and B areas and in
other areas of the State classified as per the prevailing Package Scheme of Incentives from the
date of commencement of production of activity of the units and for Information Technology (IT)
parks developed by Information Technology (IT) companies for their own use, i.e. single unit
parks except for the support services and also for the New Information Technology or Information
Technology Enabled Services (IT in ITES) units in Information Technology Special Economic
Zones (IT SEZs), new Information Technology or Information Technology Enabled Services (IT or
ITES) units in Information Technology (IT) parks in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and 100%
exporting Information Technology or Information Technology Enabled Services (IT or ITES) units
under registration of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) or any other designated
Compentent Authority and the Data Centres Located anywhere in the State (hereinafter referred
to as “ the said Units ”) ;
And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra considers it necessary, in the public interest,
to exempt, the consumption of energy in respect of the class of premises used by the said Units,
from the payment of whole of the Eelectricity Duty payable under Parts F of the Schedule appended
to the said Act.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5A of the Maharashtra
Electricity Duty Act (XL of 1958), the Government of Maharashtra hereby exempts the
consumption of energy in respect of the class of premises used by the said Units mentioned in
column (2) of the Table appended hereto, from the payment of whole of the electricity duty payable
under Part F of the Schedule appended to the said Act, for the period mentioned against each of
the said Units in column (3) of the said Table.

3 The new IT or ITES units and Data Centers in IT SEZs, new IT or ITES Permanently.
units and Data Centers in IT Parks in SEZs, and 100 % exporting IT or
ITES under registration of STPI or other designated compentent authority
shall be exempted from payment of electricity duty.
4 New Data Centers Units registered with the Director of Industries as 10 years
defined in Para 5E of the Maharashtra IT or ITES Policy-2015 and as per
the provision of Para 3.4 (b) of the Government Resolution, dated 25th
August 2015 established inside or outside the IT Park, in A and B areas of
the State, classified as per the prevailing Package Scheme of incentives at
the time of commencement of production or activity of the unit shall be
exempted from payment of electricity duty.
5 Data Centers as defined in Para 5E of theMaharashtra IT or ITES Policy- 15 years
2015 and as per the provision Para 3.4 (b) of Government Resolution, dated
the 25th August 2015 situated in other than those areas of the State referred
to in entry 3 and 4 above shall be excmpted from payment of electricity
duty.
Note.—(1) The exemption under this table shall commence with effect from the date when the
unit specified in the said column (2) start production or rendering the services.
(2) The electricity duty shall be exempted for IT parks developed by IT companies for
their own use i.e. single units parks for the period mentioned above as per the location
of the park.
(3) The exemption from payment of electricity duty shall be given to the projects mentioned
in the notification ouly after producing registration cerificate of Directorate of
Industry or Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) or Competent Authority.

depositors against National Spot Exchange Ltd., L. T. Tower, C.T.S. No. 256 and 257, Suren
Road, Chakala, Andheri (East), Mumbai-93, (herein after referred to as “ the said Financial
Establishment ”), had collected the Fund and have defaulted to return the said deposits made by
the depositors on demand ;

No. IDC 2012/522/IND-14.— In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 1 of
the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1961 (Mah. III of 1962), the Government of
Maharashtra hereby appoints 31st January 2016 to be the date from which the provisions of
Chapter VI of the said Act shall take effect in certain areas of Village Jambhul Mohili in Taluka
Kalyan of District Thane, mentioned in the Schedule appended hereto and declares the said area
to be an industrial area under clause (g) of Section 2 of the said Act, for the purposes of the said
Act;

MAHARASHTRA PUBLIC RECORDS ACT, 2005.

No. MPV. 2015/C.R. 52/Cul.-2.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
Section 13 of the Maharashtra Public Records Act, 2005 (Mah. IV of 2006), and of all other powers
enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby constitutes a Archival Advisory
Board called as the Maharashtra Archival Advisory Board, for the purpose of Maharashtra Public
Records Act, 2005.
1. The Board shall consist of the following members namely :—
(1) Principal Secretary/Secretary to Government, ... Ex Officio Chairman
Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department.
(2) Joint Secretary to Government, ... Ex Officio Member
General Administration Department.
Revenue Department.
Finance Department.
Planning Department.
(6) Dr. Prachi Moghe, Asst. Director, ... Non-Government
Bhartiya Vidyabhavan, Mumbai. Member.
(7) Dr. Preeti Trivedi, Head of Department, ... Non-Government
Ancient History, Nagpur University, Nagpur. Member.
(8) Dr. Shrinand Bhapat, Custodian ... Non-Government

2. The Board shall perform the following functions, namely :—
(a) advise the State Government on matters concerning the administration,
management, Conservation and use of public records ;
(b) lay down guidelines for training of Archivists ;
(c) give directions for acquisition of records from private custody ;
(d) deal with such other matters as may be prescribed.
3. The nominated Non-Government members of the Maharashtra Archival Advisory Board
shall be entitled to receive travelling allowance and daily allowance for attending the meeting of
the board at the same rates admissible to Group A officers of the State Government, from time to
time.
