2018 Post-graduate Program under Ministry of Commerce scholarship in UIBE

Ⅰ Introduction to UIBE

The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), situated near the
Olympic Business Center of Beijing, was founded in 1951. UIBE is a national key
university under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of
Commerce, and is one of the first batch of universities to be included in "project 211",
also participated in the "Double-First Class" initiative.
UIBE pursues to be an outstanding national university and a prestigious international
university with its distinct characteristics. UIBE has already become a
multi-disciplinary university specialized in the fields of economics, management,
liberal arts, law and science, and competitive in the subjects such as international
trade, international law, finance, business management and foreign languages. UIBE
is the first university in possession of both Chinese and English instructional systems
at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At present, the university offers nearly
84 majors to overseas students of bachelor, master and doctoral study. Among them,
29 majors are offered entirely in English. UIBE is at present the only economic
university in China which has been granted with four accreditations as EQUIS,
AASCB, CAMEA and AMBA. In terms of AACSB, we are the first entitled
university among the "project 211" institutes. Being the only university with "Career
Advisory Center"for International students, UIBE has established cooperative
relationships with over 100 famous enterprises. In 2017, we ranked the 1st on the ratio
of currently studying International students to Chinese students among all China
universities, the 2nd place in employment rate, 1st place in the terms of payment
increase for graduates, and 1st place on the rate of Chinese graduates studying abroad.
In the 2017 ranking of "China’s Best Universities" held by Shanghai Jiaotong
University, UIBE ranked the first place among multi-disciplinary universities.
UIBE has a total enrollment of around 16,000 full-time students including more than
3,300 international students from 162 countries. As always, UIBE students are widely
welcomed by society for their sound professional knowledge and skills, strong
linguistic ability, active thinking and rich practical experience. UIBE graduates have
been mainly employed in government departments, multinational corporations,
financial sectors, large-scale foreign trade corporations and commercial institutions
stationed abroad. They are playing an important role in promoting global economy
and social development.

1. International Trade 国际贸易学

Cultivation Objectives
The Master Program of International Trade is designed to train graduates equipped
with global view and innovative spirits, solid foundation applied economics, skills
required for practices on domestic and international markets, especially in China, and
skills of multicultural communication. Students are trained to apply economic theories
to real-world business strategy decision and policy making, especially in the field of
international trade and economic cooperation. Program alumni are found to have
brilliant skills and sophisticated communication skills in Chinese and thus usually
start their career as Chief Representatives of large multinational corporations in China,
Officials of the Foreign Embassy, as well as the representatives of Chinese firms in
students’ home country.

MIB is designed to train graduates equipped with global view, innovative spirits, solid
field-knowledge, practical skills for international business operation, and skills of
multicultural communication, especially between the home country of the student and
China. Graduates should have brilliant skills in international business practices and
sophisticated communication skills in Chinese, hereby start their career as specialists

Cultivation Objectives
The students will be trained in advanced applied talents and reach higher management
level mainly in the central banks, the multinational banks, the transnational
investment banks, the fund organizations, the insurance companies, the financial
sector in large industrial companies, the finance consultancy firms as well as the
relevant management departments. Most graduates are mainly engaged in the
positions of analysis, judgment and decision on investment or financing, mastering
the international financial markets, research and judgment on relevant government
financial policies, advanced financial management and etc.

8. International Master of Public Administration 国际公共管理硕士项目


Cultivation Objectives
The IMPA program is a two-year English degree program offered by the School of
Public Administration (SPA) at University of International Business and Economics.
Master of Business Management with Government is designed especially for
international applicants who need to or expect to work on jobs related to handle the
intricate relationship between government and business from the global perspective. It
combines a broad-based business management theory and skills with a theory-driven
practice element of government and public policy to enhance your better
understanding of governmental interaction with business and problem-solving
capability from both perspectives of government and business.
The program will help students to study and understand theory and skills on the
elaborate relationship between government and business from the interdisciplinary
backgrounds such as public policy and public management, business management and
economics and it will prepare students to be leaders, managers, and analysts in the

Academic structure: The detailed schedule for 2018 Fall Semester:
Fall semester: early September - the end of December (14 weeks)
Spring Semester: late February - the end of May (14 weeks)
Inter-term: early June - mid July (a total of six weeks, including two weeks of
business visits)

1. Admission Requirements:
1) Applicants participated in this program are required to be officials of division
level and above with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) or Middle
and senior management staff who engaged in the domestic operation or
management and international economic cooperation.
2) Under the age of 45 with at least three years working experience.
3) Non-native English speaking Applicants must have English proficiency
equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (IBT) 86 and above level.
4) Applicants must be healthy and must not have any disease or situation listed
below:
a) Diseases prohibited by Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Laws and
Regulations
b) Other severe chronic diseases like high blood pressure, cardio-cerebrovascular
disease, diabetes; psychological diseases; or other infectious diseases which may
harm public health
c) In recovery period after major surgery or acute disease attacks
d) Severe physically challenged
e) Pregnancy
5) Applicants are not allowed to bring spouse or any relative and friend during the
study in China;
6) Only applicants recommended by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China
will be considered and admitted.
2. Application Period
2018 Fall Semester: till April 30
 Applicants shall make online application at http://laihua.csc.edu.cn(Choose
Program Category Type B and the Agency No. of UIBE: 10036) download and
print out the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship and then
sign the form. Hand-writing version is invalid.
 Applicants are required to make another online application at www.uibe.cn.
Please download and print out the International Student Application Form
generated upon successful online application.
 Please use Firefox or Internet Explorer (11.0). Menu selection functions may not
work in other browsers. For Internet Explorer, please disable the ‘Compatibility
View’.
 Please Submit the application documents listed below to the ECCO office of
Chinese Embassy in your country.

3. Application Materials
Documents can be prepared in either Chinese or English. The application materials
will not be returned to candidates whether they are accepted or not.
