Table __ shows the significant subject matters that the graduates pointed out. Several attestation from the
graduates can be seen in the appendices. Based on the graduates’ concern, the following recommendations
are made:

 Incorporate software lessons in the curriculum to know the significance of its use in a working
environment (e.g. STAAD, ETABS, Primavera, PlanSwift, Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel). This will have a
significant advantage for the graduates since the job market is advancing with technology.
 The University, specifically in the Civil Engineering Department should collaborate with selected
companies and develop a potent internship program so that the students shall receive a uniform or
at least a standard quality of OJT experience.
 Prolongment of the internship program will aid the students grasp and appreciate more the actual
works of a civil engineer.
 Immersing the students outside the campus through educational visits to construction sites or other
civil engineering related facilities.
 Experiencing the context of the teachings through hands-on application in a laboratory will be of
considerable assistance to the students.
 Considering the rearrangement of subjects to be taken before OJT so the students can apply and have
a clearer understanding with the knowledge imparted from the institution. (e.g. Reinforced Concrete
Design & Steel Design)
II. RECOMMENDATION FOR THE FUTURE RESEARCHERS

 Continue a tracer study of the graduates to keep track of modern market demands for the
continuous improvement of the BS CE program.
 Include the civil engineering graduates in the assessment of work preparedness who are in other
fields of civil engineering like horizontal construction, water resources, geotech, etc.
 Undertake a similar study that will show the comparison between the curriculum that was used
in this study and the present-day curriculum.
 Adopt the most appropriate data analysis method to ensure the validity of the research diagnosis
for a concrete basis of recommendations to be taken by the institution.
 To achieve a significant rate of respondents try to provide a particular incentive for every
successful response.
