Started lesson with vocabulary review by playing the game, "I have--Who has." The lesson was engaging and students willing participants. I recommend that Courtney explore more strategies for
higher level thinking. It is clear the students are quite bright and enjoy being challenged. Courtney's main method to engage students in higher level thinking was in the questions she asked. I
noticed that Courtney tended to engage students on the right side of the classroom more than the left. While she called on boys/girls equally, boys received additional questioning to expand their
thinking.
