TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

I am interested in applying for a secondary-level teaching position in your school district. As a student
who will be graduating from Monmouth University in the near future, I have had many teaching
experiences throughout my college career at the middle school and high school level. I believe that with
the immense amount of teaching experience as well as a passion for helping both in and out of the
classroom, I am an ideal candidate for a position at your school.

The following are highlights of my skills and accomplishments:

 Three years of clinical experiences at many different schools (ex: Long Branch Middle School, Shore
Regional High School)
 Possess an ability to communicate in a way that students of all different learning types can
comprehend
 Possess a strong knowledge on the technology and the ways in which it can be implemented in a
classroom setting
 Soon to possess an endorsement in TSD in which will expand my ability to assist more students in
your school district

Your school district evidently shows that you strive to engage students in their community, which I have
a lot of experience with and would love nothing more but to incorporate that in the classroom through
service learning. For example, during my freshman year, my class had taken part in a service learning
project with students at Asbury Park High School. Through that experience I have seen the importance of
involving the community within the classroom, and would enjoy bringing that aspect into your school.
