Problem Definition:-

The problem definition will include the brief introduction about the project to be developed,
technology used, field of project (if specialized one), any other technology to be used.

Objective:-

This will describe the objective of the proposed problem/project.

Feasibility Study:-

This will describe the very first step of software engineering i.e. feasibility studyof the project
that include the feasibility, need and significance of the project.

Methodology:

Methodology will include the steps to be followed to achieve the objective of the Project
during the project development.

Tools & Platform used:

Specify the details of the tools and platform to be used in your desired project.

References:-

Here specify the description of the study material, papers, reports etc. referred for the
design /development & implementation of the project.
NOTE:

1. All MCA final semester students are required to go for six month
project/industrial training as a compulsory component of their course
curriculum.
2. Kindly submit the synopsis in above mentioned format only before 10 th January
2019 POSITIVELY.
3. The synopsis material should not exceed more than FIVE pages.
4. USE New Times Roman script with 12pts font size for documentation with single
line spacing preferably on A-4 size paper placed in a sliding folder.
5. Synopsis/ report should get duly signed by the project guide. In case, the project
guide is not allotted to you kindly meet the coordinator or undersigned to
finalize the issue if any.
6. Students neither having any project nor assigned with the guide should
immediately meet the coordinator for assigning the guide and allotted the
project.
7. Feel free to discuss and clarify your doubts with the coordinator/undersigned if
desired so.
8. The students failing to meet deadlines will not be considered for First
presentation in order to finalize their topic and guide. The first presentation will
be held sometimes during last week of January 2019.

Evaluation of Project

Every candidate shall be required to submit Project as per the following guidelines:

i. A Project Review Committee (PRC) shall be constituted with Head of the Department
as chair person and at-least two other faculty members from the department.
ii. Registration of Project Work: A candidate is permitted to register for the project
work after satisfying the attendance requirement of all the subjects (theory and
practical subjects).
iii. A candidate has to submit, in consultation with his/her project supervisor/guide the
title, objective and plan of action of his/her project work to the Project Review
Committee for its approval. Only after obtaining the approval of Project Review
Committee the student can initiate the Project work.
iv. Three copies of the Project Report certified by the supervisor shall be submitted to the
Department. The format of report can be downloaded from the website/guide/
coordinator.
v. The project report shall be examined by one examiner selected by the University. For
this, Head of the Department shall submit a panel of 3 examiners, who are eminent in
that field with the help of the concerned guide.
vi. If the report of the examiner is not favorable, the candidate shall revise and resubmit
the report, in the time frame as described by PRC. If the report of the examiner is
unfavorable again, the report shall be rejected.
vii. If the report of the examiner is favorable, viva-voce examination shall be conducted by
a board consisting of the supervisor, Head of the Department and the examiner. The
Board shall jointly report candidates work as:
1. Excellent
2. Good
3. Satisfactory
4. Unsatisfactory
Head of the Department shall coordinate and make arrangements for the conduct of
viva-voce examination.

viii. If the report of the viva-voce is unsatisfactory, the candidate will retake the viva-voce
examination within three months.
