K.G.2 Identify and describe a given shape and shapes of objects in everyday situations to include
two-dimensional shapes (i.e., triangle, square, rectangle, hexagon, and circle) and three-
dimensional shapes (i.e., cone, cube, cylinder, and sphere).
K.G.4 Analyze and compare two- and three-dimensional shapes of different sizes and
orientations using informal language.
K.G.5 Draw two-dimensional shapes (i.e., square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, and circle) and
create models of three-dimensional shapes (i.e., cone, cube, cylinder, and sphere).
Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will use the Geoboard app to
experiment with the shapes. Students will have free time to design any shape of their
choosing. After free-time, students will be instructed to design specific shapes and
identify whether or not these shapes are two-dimensional or three-dimensional.

Step 2 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will review the terms used to
identify shapes using the Math Vocabulary cards app. Students will continue to practice
identifying shapes by names as well as comparing the dimensions of shapes.
