Glossary of terms

Market: place where the supply and demand of products and services are located and the

prices are determined.

Warehousing: It’s a process related to the warehouse; in particular, save and watch stocks

that are not in the process of manufacturing, or transport.

Globalization: It’s a process of global integration in the political, economic, social, cultural

and technological fields.

Export and import

 It’s a process of sale of any good or service sent legally outside the national territory

 It’s a process legal transportation of goods and services exported national by a

country, sold for use or another country's internal consumption.

Raw materials: material extracted from nature and transformed to produce materials that

will later become consumer goods.

Operations of embarking: It’s a process charging to the means of transport for the exit of

the goods from the port, airport or border crossing.

International physical distribution: It’s set of processes needed to move cargo from point

of origin to a destination.

Logistics international trade (LCI): It’s a system that integrates the functions of production,

marketing and physical distribution strategic supply management, movement and storage of

inputs and finished goods with the flow of information required in a trade operation

Supply Chain Management: It’s network of facilities and distribution facilities that feature

materials, the transformation of the materials in intermediates and finished products.
