Overview

For many years that we live ,explore and study, maybe one time you’ve
heard of the word “Quadrilaterals” ,so have you wondered “what is
Quadrilaterals and why people around me talk about that topic. For you
to know let’s start from the basic. We define Quadrilaterals are
four-sided polygon with four angles and four vertices ,there are many
kinds of quadrilaterals like parallelogram, trapezoid, kite, squares,
rectangle and rhombus. So how can we determine if a polygon is an
example of Quadrilaterals? ,to determine if a a polygon is a
quadrilaterals we should based it from its properties ,first a polygon
must have four sides(edges) second it has four vertices and lastly the
sum of all interior angles is 360* to deepen the topic we need to
examine every kinds of Quadrilaterals.

Here are kinds of Quadrilaterals first parallelogram, a

parallelogram has opposite sides parallel and equal in length and also
opposite angles are equal and the sum of all its angle is 360*,Square,
the most well known quadrilaterals with two pair parallel sides, four
right angle it is also a rectangle and a parallelogram, rectangle,
rectangle is usual for being in the quadrilaterals, it has 2 pair of
parallel side and four right angles.it is also allocated with
Parallelogram since it has two pairs of parallel sides, rhombus also
known as the imperfect diamond shape ,it is defined as a parallelogram
with four equal sides .Parallelogram , a quadrilateral that has 2
parallel pair of opposite sides, and lastly the trapezoid and the kite
two different kinds of Quadrilateral in accordance with their
characteristics. Trapezoid the type of quadrilaterals that is not
parallelogram, which has only one pair of parallel sides ,and the 2
upper and lower consecutive angles are equal. Kite, kite is a
quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent sides equal.

Sample Problem(Average)

1.
Given: m∠A = 3x+9 m∠B = 5x+20
m∠C = 3x m∠D = 2x+6
Find m∠D.

Solution: 3x+9 + 5x+20 + 3x + 2x+6 = 360

13x + 35 = 360; 13x = 325; x = 25
m∠D = 2(25)+6 = 56º

Sample problem (hard)

1. A rectangular cupboard is of length 6m and perimeter 20 m. Find the width of the
cupboard?.

Solution: 2(6 + w) = 20

Length of cupboard, l = 6m Dividing by 2 on both sides,

Perimeter of cupboard= 20m 6+w = 10

Width of cupboard =w Subtracting 6 on both sides,

Perimeter of rectangle=2*(l + w) W =4

2(l + w) =20 Therefore, width of rectangular cupboard

is 4 m.
2. The sides of scalene triangle are in the ratio 2:4:3 and its perimeter are 27 inches. Find

5. Find the length of the bases?.
4. The perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 54 cm. Find the length of each side of triangle?.
5. Mr. White purchased a carpet for rectangular hall of area 800 sq. yards. The
length of the hall is 32 yards. Find the required width of the carpet?.
6. The area of right angled triangle is 32. If the base is 8 cm, find its height?.

7. The length of the rectangular building is 7 ft more than its width. If the perimeter of the
building wall is 98 ft, find its length and width?.

8. The area of a rectangular garden is 1800 sq. ft. Find the width if its height measures 40 ft?.

This project of ours gives us a chance of expanding our knowledge about quadrilaterals, moreso
this entails a polygon with sides and overall angle measures 360*, we learned about
quadrilaterals,on how to get angles measures, and especially their properties and their uniqueness
to one another.

By learning Quadrilaterals, I specially understand how to get corner by corner angles and
measures its congruent angles and sides, I learned about their difference ,characteristic and
properties, it gave us the opportunity to identify their relationship with other polygons

this entails a polygon with sides and overall angle measures 360*, we learned more about
quadrilaterals especially their properties and their uniqueness to one another.

I have found myself in many different learnings, even thou sometimes i’m confused with our
topic which is the quadrilateral but being confused is not a reason for me not to be good, it
challenged me to stand out in my mind as a meaningful, by this it helps me to strengthen my
knowledge in math. Experience is considered to be one of life’s greatest teachers, by this
experience I can express my skills and talents, and somehow it helps me to develop and grow
more. My learnings here will always have value in my life, every learnings it practically helps
me to

I learn about quadrilaterals and its specific properties and enlightens my understanding about
polygons . Quadrilaterals are very important to engineer in order to determine congruency
between to object being observed, hence as a grade 9 student that has the passion to become an
engineer someday ,I found this lesson very helpful for me to advance the learning for better
understanding on a long duration of time ,till I’ll work i’ll be very thankful enough that I ve
learned quadrilaterals .

For me as member or assigned to be leader ,I’ve learned a lot from this topic , intellectually and socially , thus this
ptipoc really entails how things like polygon have different characteristics. Quadrilaterals sis the foundation of
understanding how parallelogram have parallel side, how square andits angle are equal and how trapezoid is the
most complex quadrilaterals, for a short period of time us members of this group really tackled something and share
of ideas.Hence as a assigned leader as one of the most hardest role in projects it also emphasis how can I managae
things symmetrically , being a leasder is so hard that u really need to sacrifice time , moreover this lesson thought
me about time management , on how can I distribute work ,for somehow we did well and all of us cooperated , in
our group having our girl member really help us to choose the right color symmetry and mixture of every slide,
nevertheless we focused on attainable things like making it more simplier by using powerpoint , than video maker or
movie maker to be specific. Furthermore having a different type of members like one of our members dave , who are
very well know for his insubordinate attitude really cooperatdd well , hence even our Odd girl member really
participate with no inhibition we ask for task to be perfom, Honestly this math project really make intercations with
other and maled more compact with one another

I have learned that quadrilateral explains the definition of each properties, each lines is
meaningful, therefore its categories will able to test your knowledge
