WALKING IN THE SPIRIT Holy Smoke

Romans 8: 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who
walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was
weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who
walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the
things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be
carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal
mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So
then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,
if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he
is none of his. So the bible says we are in the Spirit because Christ dwells in us.
Galatians 5: 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have
crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit. Gal. 5: 16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the
flesh. 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are
contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of
the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
3 John 1: 3For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in
thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children
walk in truth.
Ezekiel 36: 25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your
filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26A new heart also will I give you and a
new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I
will give you an heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk
in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them . 28And ye shall dwell in the
land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. 29I will also
save you from all your uncleannesses. This is future for Israel but now is for those who
believe in Jesus Christ. The new birth cleanses us from sin and God gives us a new heart and
God puts His Holy Spirit in us so that we can walk in the truth.
John 6: 63"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak
unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. “64"But there are some of you that believe not."
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray
him. Jesus said the WORDS that he speaks are SPIRIT & LIFE.
Walking in the spirit means: First a man must be born again, John 3: 6"That which is born
of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. “7"Marvel not that I said
unto thee, Ye must be born again. " 8"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the
sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is
born of the Spirit. Until he is born again he can hear the words of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:3
Psalm 15:1-5/Psalm 25:5, 10; 26:3; 43:3; 86:11; John 16:13; 2John 1:3, 4. Walking in the
Spirit is walking in the truth revealed by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
