Commencement Exercises
April 02, 2018

Processional
Emily Over the years, our country has been one of the only 3 countries
worldwide with a 10-year pre-university cycle. In line with this,
the Department of Education implemented a 12-year program for
the basic education in the Philippines, believing that this change
in the educational system is the best period of learning and is the
recognized standard for students and professionals internationally.
Steve Our beloved university, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime
University- Arevalo, offers a pre-baccalaureate maritime
specialization track for senior high school learners. The
specialization encourages the learners to pursue maritime studies
in college which will enable our country to produce more
world-class seafarers in the future.
Emily And today is another milestone for this prestigious maritime
university. For today, the very first products of our senior high
school department will finally reap the fruits of their labors
through this Graduation day.
Steve Graduation day is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the
conclusion of one’s educational journey and the commencement
of another more uncertain and more difficult part of man’s quest
for a better life and future.

must undertake to open up to another important stage of their
