Professional Development Plan
Goal #1: Goal #2:
Improve my lesson plan timing
Rationale: I feel that it takes me a while to
write my lessons. I am not sure if I
am overthinking the process, but I
want to improve my timing. The
expected outcome is that I will have
more time to prepare adequately for
my week. Also, this will be one less
stressor to worry about when
dealing with everything else in the
classroom.
End Date: I am realistic, and I know that this
goal will improve with time and
practice. I am almost sure that by
the end of my first year of teaching,
lesson planning will be as easy as
breathing.
Action Timeline: I will continue to improve my lesson
planning by learning from my own
practice and consulting with my
peers. I have started taking the
appropriate steps to improve since I
have been lesson planning in my
student teaching assignment.

Goal #3:
Classroom management
Classroom management is a key
factor to deliver effective
instruction. This has been the
first recommendation that I hear
from all the experienced
teachers. Having a well-managed
classroom will maximize the
learning for all my students.
I am going to be optimistic and
dare to say that, I will attain my
goal in my first year of teaching.
I will use the school policy to
keep the students accountable
for making good choices and
following the expectations. I will
implement this by 7/2019.

Differentiation strategies
I want to have the ability to
implement as many
differentiation strategies.
Attaining this goal will allow me to
help all my students, no matter
their ability level.
I will accomplish this goal by the
end of my first year; although, I
expect growth throughout the
first few years into my career.
The steps that I will take is to
research differentiation strategies
and learn when and how to
implement them. I will start this
by 5/20/2019.
