CASE STUDY "THE IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING A LANGUAGE"

What is the communication problem that you found between two parts?
The main problem that I watch in the video is when the radio announcer Ramirez
misunderstand some words and phrases said by the radio announcer Morena. Also Ramirez
mentions some the words that sound similar to those that complete a coherent sentence, this
generates that the main idea or meaning of the phrase will be lost. These situations are very
frequent when one parts involved do not know the meaning or context of the words used,
generating discord and confusion in the conversation or ideas discussed or that wish to be
transmitted.
The give information by the radio announcers was correct? Justify your answer.
Although obviously the conversation is doing in order to create humor, I consider that the
information show by Morena is correct, but nevertheless, the ideas digress a bit when
Ramirez interferes, because by the performance of this character who speaks with a certain
degree of confusion changes the meaning of each sentences.
List other similar situations that you know where this problem occurs.
1. When we meet people from different cultures or regions that, although we speak the same
language, we have different or incorrect concepts, that generating a certain degree of
confusion in the conversation. For example, I am from the coast, and in that place we
speak some incorrect “trancao” and on several occasions my friends don’t understand
then correct me, because I say some word wrong.
2. When we want to talk with people of another language, this turns out to be very difficult,
if we do not speak the language of the other people.
What do you conclude from this situation?
We are currently exposed to different cultures, regions and languages that require us to at
least know and identify basic concepts that allow us to maintain a dialogue and
communication that is accurate and understandable. In addition, every day is more important
as a professional the handling of different languages, especially a language such as English
known and spoken internationally, which allows us to open borders and expand our offer to
work in most of the world.
