To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Miss Sylvia Sharpe, senior at Western High School. I have had the pleasure of
teaching Sylvia in our Advanced Placement Psychology course as a junior; currently, she is in our
elective sociology course. In addition, she is a part of our school’s Student Council, of which I am a co-
advisor, thus working with her beyond academics as she ignites school spirit! She works diligently as an
individual in both AP and dual enrolled courses. Sylvia demonstrates respect and positive interaction
with adults and her peers.

Sylvia’s interaction with others is always done with respect. She has consistently treated me with
respect and I have watched as she interacts with others and the same kindness is witnessed. For
example, her knowledge and understanding are key characteristics used when assisting students in need
of her help.

As an overachiever, Sylvia stays on top of her studies and completes all tasks placed in front of her. She
is reliable and all assignments are in on time; she also indulges in extra credit options when the
opportunity is presented. Sylvia continues to be a positive role model and I am confident she will
achieve success not only academically, yet in all aspects of life, which is why I fully support these
artifacts as a compilation of her work demonstrated in this portfolio.
