Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School District 233 has an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students and is
located in the Chicago south suburb of Flossmoor, IL. District 233 draws from students from the communities of
Homewood, Flossmoor, Chicago Heights, Glenwood, Hazel Crest and Olympia Fields.

Responsibilities Special Education Student Teacher


Provide an effective learning environment and culture for Special Education students with behavioral, emotional,
and social disabilities in a safe classroom environment. Assist students to develop the skills, attitudes, and
knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards as well as comply with each
student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) by developing and implementing approved curricula of the Special
Education Department and school
