The Country of

Genovia
History

Before the revolution, Genovia was in complete control of the king and queen. The people had
no rights and there was no equality between the social classes. The upper class that consisted of
rich people, were the only ones that had some rights and they were acknowledged by the king
and queen. The rest of the people that were not rich were considered peasants and they were
seen less than a human. The upper class only consisted of 20% of the population and the lower
class was 80% of the population. The lower class wanted to have equal rights so that is what
mainly caused the revolution in Genovia.
Government

The government the people lived in before the revolution was a absolute monarchy. Now that
that the people caused a revolution and everyone lives peacefully with each other, they live in a
limited monarchy. The people have a new king and queen that treat everyone equally and they
care about all of the people of Genovia. They have abolished the social classes and they
acknowledge both the rich and the poor people and they try to help the poor people to live
better lives. The legislative of the government are known as the royal court and the people of
Genovia have a say in what laws they are going to create or in any of the changes they will make.
Bill of Rights

People of Genovia have the following rights

1. Freedom of speech
2. Freedom of religion
3. Freedom of assembly
4. Freedom to vote
5. The right to a fair trial
Inspiration

The revolution of Genovia is similar to the revolution of France. The lower class is very similar
to the third estate. They both had no rights and had to pay taxes. They both fought for their
rights and equality. Like the France, they had to pay taxes on almost everything and they had
the less work making them poor. The king and queen were both very selfish and careless about
their money causing both countries to face many financial problems.
