INTRODUCTION
The project that was carried out in the workshop class is to create a pipe
support or commonly known as a bracket to sustain the position of the
pipe during excessive pressure. Therefore a steel bracket support was
created. A pipe support is a designed element that transfer the load from
a pipe to the supporting structures. The load includes the weight of the
pipe proper, the content that the pipe carries, all the pipe fittings attached
to pipe, and the pipe covering such as insulation. The four main functions
of a pipe support are to anchor, guide, absorb shock, and support a
specified load. Pipe supports used in high or low temperature applications
may contain insulation materials. The overall design configuration of a
pipe support assembly is dependent on the loading and operating
conditions.
PROCEDURE

1.The raw material used was cut into three parts using a grinder, where
two parts were measured 6inches and one was 3 inch.

2.Welding

The raw materials which were cut was then assembled in to a bracket
form by the process of welding where we used GMAW ( Gas Metal Arc
Welding) to attach the parts together.

3.Drilling

6 holes were drilled with a diameter of 4cm to the bracket for the purpose
of rivetting the tags and also attaching the bracket against the wall
