C-DAC Campus Placement Programme (CCPP) is one of the major event at ACTS where we invite the Information
Communication Technology, Electronics, VLSI, and Embedded companies. We have over 300 companies who visit the
campus.
Q 1 : How many Companies visited the campus during Campus Placements?

Ans 1 : C-DAC Common Campus Placement Programme (CCPP) is one of the important activities where we invite companies from
the Information Communication Technology, Electronics, VLSI, and Embedded domains. We have over 300 companies who visit
the campus.

Q 2 : What is the help extended to the students for placements?

Ans 2 : The students have to prepare the resumes using the C-DAC Resume builder with his education, Work experience and
personal details. The students profile shall be shared with the Companies for selection. The students have to undergo the
companies process of Written test, Technical Interview, and HR interview. The students will be provided information regarding
the companies visiting the campus through the Placement Software. The students can take printout of the resumes using the
software.

Q 3 : When does the Placement Activity begin?

Ans 3 : The placement activities begin after the completion of the course in the month of February for the August batch and in
the month of August for February batch.

Q 4 : Which are the Companies that regularly visit for Campus Recruitment?

Q 5 : Has the slow down affected the Placements?

Ans 5 : Yes it affects in such a way as to pay packages would reduce during the slow down. The duration of the campus
placements is increased.

Q 6 : What is the range of salary offered by companies for a fresher?

Ans 6 : The range of Salary Is from Highest Pay package of Rs. 8 Lakhs to Rs. 2.4 Lakhs per Annun.

Q 8 : Do all the organizations visiting campus have criteria for placement?

Ans 8 :

Yes, every company visiting the C-DAC Common Campus Plamcent Programme (CCPP) shares Company Recruitment Details
(CRD) which provides the Eligibility criteria required from the candidates according to their Company and or project
requirements. The Company recruitment creteria provided by the company to the Placement officer inorder to inform the
candidates aspiring to take up the selection process to prepare.

Q 9 : Will my higher secondary or graduation scores affect my chance in placement?

Ans 9 :
Yes the CRD which is received by the Placement department provides the Eligibility Criteria for the candidates and it is seen that
company gives emphasis on the Graduation / Post Graduation Score of a candidate as well as the C-DAC PG Diploma Courses.

Q 10 : What may be the loan amount disbursed for C-DAC course ?

Ans 10 :

The loan amount disbursed for the C-DAC PG Diploma Courses is the course fees of Rs. 80,000 plus Service Tax. Over and above
if the candidate is joining the C-DAC centre away from his home town then the Hostel accomodation and boarding amount can
also be taken as a loan.

Q 11 : What assistance does a C-DAC centre give for availing loan facility ?

Ans 11 :

CDAC will provide the selected candidates along with the offer letter the a letter for availing a bank loan to the candidates.

Q 12 : Names of the banks who have sanctioned educational loans for the students of our previous batches.

The nationalised banks and the private banks such as IDBI, SBI, BoI, BOB etc. sanction the educational loan for the C-DAC PG
Diploma Courses.

Q 13 : Do you guarantee any Placement?

Ans 13 :

C-DAC provides 100% placement assicantance which is provided to the C-DAC students through national Common Campus
Placement Programme (CCPP). We do not guarantee any placements to the students.

Q 14 : Do you have centralized placement cell?

Ans 14 :

The Placement is conducted in five regions Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and Pune. Every region has a placement cell
coordinate the placement activities.

The C-DAC certification is recognized by the ICT Industry and the valued as a benchmark in the ICT domain. C-DAC courses have

The PG Diploma course is of 24 weeks durations total of 900 hours of Theory and Practicals Lab sessions which also includes 100
hours of Business Communication and live Project.

Q 20 : What is the prerequisite for enrolment in this course?

The prerequisite Eligibility for PG Diploma courses includes the common Eligibility and Special eligibility Criteria as mentioned

1. Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / 4-year BSc Engg / AMIE / DoEACC B Level, etc.) in Electronics/

Q 21 : What is the Selection Procedure for the PG Diploma Courses?

Ans 21 :

Selection for PG Diploma Courses is through C-DAC Common Admission Test (C-CAT) which is conducted in the month of June
for August batch and in December for the February batch. The candidate has to appear in the entrance examination and qualify in
the C-CAT to be selected for the PG Diploma course based on their ranks and preference.

Q 22 : What is the syllabus for the Entrance Exam, duration, type of questions etc.?

Ans 22 :

The C-DAC Common Admission Test is comprises of three Sections A, B and C. Section A is comprises of English, Reasoning and
Quantitative Aptitude, Section B is Computer Fundamentals, Programming in c, Data Structures, Data Communications and
Networking, OOP and Operating System. Section C is Computer Architecture, Digital Electronics and Microprocessors.

Q 23 : When and where the Entrance Examination will be conducted for Vel Tech- C-DAC M.Tech programmes?

Ans 23 :
VELTECH University conducts examination for entrance to M.Tech Programme in cities such as Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad,
Bangalore, New Delhi, Secunderabad, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Ahmedabad.

Q 24 : When the Interview will be conducted for Vel Tech- C-DAC M.Tech programmes?

Ans 24 :

The interview of the M.Tech programmes will be conducted after successful in the Entrance exam conducted by VELTECH
University in the month of July as per the schedule provided in the website.

Q 25 : How can I reach the VELTECH University campus?

Ans 25 :

The VELTECH University campus is situated in the industrial area of Avadi.


1. If you are traveling by air-
a. Disembark at Chennai Meenambakkam (Anna International/Kamaraj National )Airport. Hire a taxi.
b. Drive up to Avadi Railway Station - BUS TERMINUS JUNCTION.
c. From there take left drive straight 1 km up North. Reach Jagajivanram Statue, drive further up North 4 km, reach Vel
Junction, take right 1 km to reach Vel Tech Central Junction, take left, drive 200 m. Reach Vel Tech Arch Gate.

2. If you are traveling by train, reach Avadi Railway Station. Then follow (1c).

3. If you are traveling by private transport, after reaching Avadi , follow (1c).

NOTE: Public transport is available from all parts of Chennai Metro. Some bus routes are 120, 47D, A47, D70, 170D. After
reaching Avadi Bus Station, you may change over to Bus or auto rickshaw or private transport system. Public transport is
available from Avadi to University premises. University buses are also operated at regular intervals from Avadi to the University
premises.

Q 26 : What is the fee structure for these PG Diploma Courses?

Ans 26 :

The Course fees of the PG Diploma Courses (Except for PG-DBDA) is Rs. 80,000 exclusive of the Service tax as applicable by
Government of India currently the service tax is @ 14%. The course fees of PG Diploma in Big Data Analytics is Rs. 1,00,000/-
exclusive of the Service tax as applicable by Government of India currently the service tax is @ 14%.

Q 27 : Should we deposit the original certificates on the day of registration to PG Diploma Courses?

Ans 27 :

The students appearing in the PG Diploma courses at the Centres should not deposit the certificates in Originals they have to
submit the self attested photocopies of their certificates of UG and or PG Degree, 10th and 12th standard.

Q 28 : What are the documents to be produced at the time of admission?

Ans 28 :

The candidates at the time of admission to the PG Diploma courses has to produce the Mark sheets & Certificates for 10th and
12th standard UG and PG Degree.

Q 29 : When is the last date to pay the tuition fees and get admitted?

Ans 29 :

The last date of payment of fees is declared in the Important Dates in the Admission Process on Website or in the Admission
Booklet. The PG Diploma courses fees is collected in two installment the 1st Installment of Rs. 10,000 is deposited at the time of
Counseling rounds. The second Installment of Rs. 70000 plus Service tax amount on Rs. 80,000/- (For PG-DBDA Rs. 90,000/-
plus service tax amount on Rs. 1,00,000/-) has to be paid before the commencement of the Course.

Q 30 : How to pay the PG Diploma Course fees? If there is any mode of payment? Is the course fees is accepted in DD, Cash or
Cheque?

The course fees is deposited in the following

The first installment of Rs 10,000/- is to be paid either online or using Challan.

The second (final) installment of course fee (Rs. 70,000/- + service tax on Rs. 80,000/- as applicable) for all PG
Diploma courses except PG-DBDA for which it is Rs 90,000/- + service tax on Rs 1 lakh is to be paid only
through NEFT from any bank to C-DAC's account.

Candidates may take note that no Demand Draft (DD) or cheque or cash will be accepted at any C-DAC training centre towards
payment of any installment of course fee.

Q 31 : What are the working hours for M.Tech students?

Ans 31 :

The working hours for the M.Tech students during the First year is as per the VELTECH University schedule. The second year the
students visit the C-DAC Labs at Pune for the Project Work and Thesis etc. So the working hours are as per the C-DAC Labs
timing Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 PM.

Q 32 : What are the facilities available in the classroom?

Ans 32 :

The classroom are well equipped best ergonomics, air conditioning with Audio Visual aids of Teaching, Whiteboards etc.
