MAP OF THE SOUL

Map Of The Soul presents the theories of the Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung and his
understanding of the human psyche. Although at first it may seem like a rather complicated
book, it can actually be explained in summary form and the message in this way is quite clear.

To better understand the general explanation I decided to start with a scheme, this is done by
me in a simplified and translated, however you can find many similar and even more detailed
or complex searching on Google. In the scheme you will see the way Jung explains the psyche
or human mind. First I will explain the complex, the terms used in the scheme, and then I will
summarize it in a way that will make you understand everything much better.

For Jung, the "I" is the center of everything. The psyche / mind, which is what the
psychoanalyst tries to explain, maintains the balance of a PERSON between the opposing
decisions or thoughts. That is to say, the I is the center of everything and even of the
conscience: virtue that is defined as the state of alertness or the fact of staying awake, of
finding out what is happening.

While the self remains at the center of everything, the mind balances the thoughts between
doubts and opposing feelings. But ... What does SELF have to do with CONSCIOUSNESS? As I
mentioned earlier, consciousness is the virtue of staying alert, "aware of what is happening".
The YO influences an individual giving him the consciousness of existing and a feeling of
identity, together they somehow create the sensation of life in the mind.
