SITUATIONS VACANT (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)

The Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan offers the following vacancies as per criteria laid
down by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for Sub-Campus Gomal University,
Tank on Contract / fixed pay (negotiable at the time of interview) initially for a period of
one year (extendable):

Professor in Computer Science (01 Vacancy) Pay Package Rs.200,000/- Per Month
Minimum Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with
Qualification PEC.
Experience 15 Years teaching/ research experience in a recognized
Institution/College/ University or 15-years professional experience in
the relevant field in a National or International organization out of
which 5-years must be teaching experience.
OR 10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC
recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional
experience in the relevant field in a National or International
organization.
Minimum 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in last 5 years in
Number of HEC/PEC recognized journals.
Publications
Professor in English (01 Vacancy) Pay Package Rs.200,000/- Per Month
Minimum Ph.D from an HEC recognized institution in the relevant field.
Qualification
Experience 15 years teaching / research experience in HEC recognized University
or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization. OR 10 years
post-Ph.D. teaching / research experience in a recognized university
or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the
relevant field in a National or International organization.
Minimum The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5
Number of publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized Journals.
Publications
Associate Professor in Computer Science (01 Vacancy) Pay Package Rs.170,000/- Per
Month
Minimum PhD in the relevant field from Institution recognized by HEC in
Qualification consultation with PEC.
Experience 10-years teaching/research experience in a recognized Institution/
College/University or 10-years professional experience in the relevant
field in a National or International Organization out of which 2-years
must be teaching experience.
OR 5-years post PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC
recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional
experience in the relevant field in a National or International
organization.
Minimum 10 research publications with at least 4 publications in last 5 years in
Number of HEC/PEC recognized journals.

 Associate Professor in English (01 Vacancy) Pay Package Rs.170,000/- Per Month
Minimum Ph.D. from an HEC recognized University/Institution in the relevant
Qualification field.
Experience 10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized
University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in
the relevant field in a National or International organization OR
5-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized
University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in
the relevant field in a National or International organization
Minimum The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4
Number of publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals.
Publications
Assistant Professors in Computer Science & English (02 Vacancies each) Pay
Package Rs.150,000/- Per Month
Minimum a. Ph.D in relevant field from HEC recognized University /
Qualification institution. OR
b. Master`s degree (foreign) or MS /M.Phil. or equivalent degree in
the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/
Institution.
Experience a. Nil
b. 4 years teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized
University or a post graduate Institution or Professional experience
in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

Lecturers in Computer Science & English (02 Vacancies each) Pay Package
Rs.120,000/- Per Month
Minimum M.Phil./ MS OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 Years of
Qualification education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized
University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.
Experience Preferably 2 years teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized
university.

University and also available at Gomal University website www.gu.edu.pk) & HEC portal along with
attested copies of the certificates / Degrees (With DMCs showing total Marks / Marks obtained from SSC
and onward with %age), Experience Certificates, National ID Card with application fee (Non
Refundable) as per following rates through Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Director Finance, Gomal
University, Dera Ismail Khan OR BANK RECEIPT deposited in ACCOUNT NO. 595-3 in National Bank of
Pakistan, Gomal University Branch must reach the undersigned on or before 05.3.2019 during the
office hours. Incomplete application form, applications reaching after due date and without supporting
documents required to prove the claim shall be rejected without intimation to the candidates:-
i. Application fee for Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor is Rs.3500/-
ii. Application fee for the post of Lecturer is Rs.1000/-
2. The applicants should submit their separate application form along-with all relevant documents for each
category.
3. Only Eligible candidates for all categories will be called for final Interview.
4. No TA/DA will be permissible for test (If conducted) and Interview.
5. The University reserves the rights to withdraw/ not to fill/ change any number of post/ withhold the
appointment or interview against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
