Applications in the prescribed format given at the College’s website at
http://www.islampurcollege.ac.in are invited from Indian Citizens for recruitment to the
under mentioned posts.
i) Library Peon- 1(UR)
If a candidate wants to apply for more than one post, he/she has to submit applications for
each post separately.

Age, qualification, scale of pay, fees, selection process etc. for the post of
Library Peon

1. Submission of application form: Online from 15/03/2019 to 07/07/2019(10.00 a.m.) OR

Offline (by hand) on the date of walk-in-interview(07/07/2019)
Application in the prescribed format can be submitted through online from 15/03/2019 to
07/07/2019(10.00 a.m.)
OR
Filled-in application form in the prescribed format (available in the website) can be
submitted at least one hour before the scheduled time of interview.
Candidates have to bring all testimonials in original for facing the walk-in-interview.

2. Age: Not below 18 years but not more than 40 years as on 01/01/2019. Age relaxation as
per Government Norms.

3. Qualification: a) Essential- Pass Class VIII from a recognized institute

b) Desirable- Knowledge in computer operation in MS Office

4. Scale of Pay: Pay Band- Rs. 4900 – 16200/-, Grade Pay- 1700/-

5. Fees: NIL

6. Date and venue of Interview: 07/07/2019 at Islampur College

7. Selection Process: Walk-in-interview mode

a) Interview for 30 marks
b) Candidate engaged on contractual or temporary mode in Islampur College for a period
more than two years shall get additional five marks for work experience in interview as
compared to other candidates provided that the candidate is within the prescribed age
limit.
c) Candidates having knowledge in computer operation in MS Office will also get additional
five marks as compared to other candidates provided that the candidate is within the
prescribed age limit.
