This email is in response to your query about the latest
briefing by the President.The new President has given his
approval to a new gas project in his recent visit to inter
State Gas Systems(Private)Limited.The project focuses on
Importing Sui gas from Russian company,Gaxproms sources
In Middle East to Pakistan.The project might suffer the gas
crisis in the country as it will import 500 million to 1 billion
cubic foot of gas daily through sea link.Its allotted cost is
nearly 10 billion dollars.ISGS states that the pipeline will
construct within 3 to 4 years.

The Chairperson of ISGS assures that firstly this off shore Gas
Pipeline Agreement will carry out a feasibility report that
evaluates the technical and financial aspects of the project.
A plan will be made according to which other side projects
Like underground gas storage will start and in the third step
Construction of the main pipeline will start.The agreement is
signed at a time when several projects of CPEC are already
under consideration ,therefore this will highlight Pakistan’s
importance in the Belt and Road project as well,
