LESSON PLAN IN TEACHING THE LAYERS OF EARTH
Grade 6
Course Description: This course focuses on applying information about the Layers of
the Earth and its content for student to understand and distinguish other physical Layers
of the Earth.
Content Standards: The student proves his/her understanding about the importance of
the Layers of the Earth.
Performance Standards: The students should be able to make a model of the Layers
of the Earth.

If you were given the chance to have an imaginary trip to the interior of the, how
would the machine that you would use look like? Draw the machine that can drill into
the depths of the Earth in the frame below.
Write a short story about an imaginary trip taken in a machine that is able to drill
through the interior of Earth. Your destination is the country on the side of Earth
opposite the place where you live. Use the globe to help you. Write your short story in
the scroll.

Assignment:
Make a group consisting of 3-4 pupils each and make a model of Layers of the
Earth with label.
